Building on Step 4 of our prayer initiative, at Reframe Church, the concept of "multiplying" extends beyond physical reproduction to encompass a broader spiritual and communal mandate.

We are called to all aspects of multiplication:

Spiritual Multiplication

1. Making Disciples - The primary call for multiplying is found in the Great Commission. -  Matthew 28:19-20: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." This command emphasizes the multiplication of believers through evangelism, baptism, and teaching.

2. Spreading the Gospel – We are called to share the message of Jesus Christ with others, leading them to faith and a relationship with God. - Acts 1:8: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." This verse encourages believers to be witnesses of Christ’s teachings and salvation.

3. Teaching and Mentoring - Multiplication involves teaching others to live according to Christ’s teachings and mentoring them to grow in their faith. - 2 Timothy 2:2: "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others." This demonstrates the importance of passing on knowledge and training new leaders.

Building Community

1. Fostering Christian Fellowship – We are called to create and nurture communities of believers that support and encourage one another in their faith. - Hebrews 10:24-25: "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." This emphasizes the importance of gathering together for mutual encouragement and growth.

2. Serving Others - Part of multiplying involves serving others, both within the Christian community and beyond, as an expression of Christ’s love. - Galatians 6:2: "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." This shows the importance of serving and supporting one another.

Developing Christ-like Character

1. Personal Holiness and Growth - We are called to grow in our personal relationship with God, becoming more like Christ in our character and actions. - 2 Peter 3:18: "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen." This highlights the ongoing process of spiritual growth and maturity.

2. Practicing Spiritual Disciplines - Engaging in practices such as prayer, Bible study, worship, and fasting helps believers grow in their faith and become more effective in their witness. - 1 Thessalonians 5:17: "Pray continually." - Psalm 119:11: "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."

Expanding the Kingdom of God

1. Advancing Social Justice and Mercy - We are called to be agents of God’s kingdom on earth, working for justice, mercy, and righteousness in society. - Micah 6:8: "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

2. Supporting Missions and Ministry - Supporting mission work and ministry efforts financially, prayerfully, and through active participation is part of the multiplication mandate. - Romans 10:15: "And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'"

At Reframe Church, multiplying means making disciples, spreading the gospel, and teaching others. It involves building and nurturing communities of faith, serving others, and growing in personal holiness. Spiritual multiplication also extends to advancing God’s kingdom on earth through social justice and supporting missions. This comprehensive approach ensures that the message of Jesus Christ and His transformative power continue to spread and impact lives across the world.
